Amit Shah Hails 24 Years of Narendra Modi’s Public Service Journey
New Delhi, October 7 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whom he described as a ‘Karmayogi’, took the oath of office as Gujarat Chief Minister exactly 24 years ago and has since proven through his long public service that when the vision is ‘Nation First’ and the mission is ‘Developed India’, leadership can transform the lives of millions.
As per agency report, Narendra Modi led the Bharatiya Janata Party to three consecutive assembly victories in Gujarat before assuming the role of Prime Minister in 2014. Since then, he has been leading the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at the national level and has secured three successive general election victories.
Amit Shah stated that October 7 marks an important day for the entire nation, as it commemorates the moment when a selfless leader dedicated to public service took the constitutional oath and began addressing people’s issues with determination, turning many of those challenges into history.
Over the past 24 years, Modi has demonstrated remarkable leadership, whether it was transforming agriculture, women’s empowerment, industries, and education in Gujarat, or as Prime Minister, ensuring national security, welfare of the poor, and upliftment of backward, Dalit, and tribal communities. Shah emphasized that Modi’s governance has consistently reflected a vision of national interest and a mission of development, impacting millions of lives across India.
During his entire political journey, Modi has never faced an electoral defeat. He also holds the record for the longest continuous tenure in governance among all Indian Prime Ministers, including more than twelve and a half years as Chief Minister of Gujarat.
