New Delhi, October 3. The government has extended the deadline for submitting new applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the textile sector to December 31. This decision comes after receiving a large number of applications from various segments, including man-made fibre (MMF) apparel, MMF fabrics, and technical textiles. Applications for the scheme were initially invited in August 2025.
As per agency report, the Ministry of Textiles stated that the government, encouraged by the increasing interest from the industry, has decided to offer potential investors another opportunity to participate in the scheme and avail its benefits. So far, 74 participating companies have been selected as beneficiaries under the PLI scheme.
