As per agency report, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia described the win as extraordinary and said the announcement was made to mark the celebrations of this remarkable achievement. The reward will be shared among the players and support staff, though the board has not specified the exact distribution pattern. Saikia added that the prize money represents recognition not just for the team, but also for the cricket board and millions of fans across the country who take pride in India’s performance on the international stage.
