Gujarat BJP Gears Up for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Appoints 41 New District and City In-Charges

In anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections slated for 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Gujarat has been strategizing and strengthening its organizational structure. Following a triumphant run in the Gujarat assembly elections, the party has now set its sights on securing all 26 state seats in the forthcoming parliamentary polls.

Gujarat BJP President C.R. Patil has announced the appointment of 41 in-charges across the state's district and metropolitan organizations. This move is viewed as a significant step towards fortifying the party's groundwork and increasing its chances of a sweeping victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

The new appointments span 33 districts and eight metropolitan areas, including key cities like Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, and Ahmedabad. Among the appointees, Sheetalben Soni will oversee Surat city, Gordhan Zadaphia will take charge of Vadodara city, Pallaviben Thakar will be responsible for Jamnagar, Prakashbhai Soni will manage Rajkot, Chandrashekhar Dave will direct Bhavnagar city, and Jhaveribhai Thakrar will take the helm in Ahmedabad.

In a significant political move, the BJP is also set to welcome senior Congress leader and former MLA, Dhirubhai Bhil, into its ranks. Bhil, a seasoned politician who has contested elections on a Congress ticket six times, is expected to help the BJP strengthen its influence in tribal areas. This strategic move to attract tribal voters is seen as an integral part of the party's plan to secure a comprehensive victory in the upcoming elections. The party is preparing for Bhil's formal induction, which is expected to happen soon, marking his transition from the Congress to the saffron colors of the BJP.
