City Textile Market in Surat remains a hub for sarees and dress materials since 1990
Surat – Established in 1990, the City Textile Market, located at the prime Ring Road area, has built a strong identity as a center for sarees and dress materials. With a total of 96 shops, the market continues to attract traders from across India.
According to market treasurer Suresh Jain, the market is managed by a ten-member committee under the leadership of President Bhanmal M. Jain. Traders from different states regularly visit the market, making it a vibrant hub of wholesale textile business.

Suresh Jain, who runs Apple Textile and also serves as the treasurer of the market, hails from Udaipur district in Rajasthan. Having been in Surat for the past 31 years, he has established a wholesale business in dress materials that operates largely offline and extends to several states through reputed agents.
Market president Bhanmal M. Jain, proprietor of Vidhata Silk Mills, comes from Jalore district in Rajasthan. With 35 years of experience in the saree trade in Surat, his business is spread extensively across South India, conducted partly through direct dealings and partly via agents.

The market committee has ensured proper facilities for traders and customers, including security guards, CCTV surveillance, and parking arrangements, making the City Textile Market a secure and convenient destination for textile commerce.
