Minister Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya inaugurates Seva Setu program in Bhadla village of Jasdan taluka
Rajkot, August – Gujarat’s Minister for Water Resources and Water Supply, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya, inaugurated the Seva Setu program at Sardar Patel School in Bhadla village of Jasdan taluka. Under this initiative, citizens from Bhadla and 15 other villages are being provided access to 18 government schemes and information about 21 services at a single location.
The minister explained that the objective of the Seva Setu program is to ensure that government schemes reach rural areas effectively. He highlighted that services such as income certificates, Aadhaar cards, Ayushman health cards, pension benefits, and special schemes for senior citizens and Ganga Swaroopa women will now be easily accessible to the people. He also emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about basic facilities such as education, healthcare, and water supply.
Bavaliya noted that the government is focused on addressing local issues swiftly and implementing result-oriented actions. He assured that any deficiencies in the quality of government work would be rectified promptly. Recently, projects worth around Rs. 1 crore were approved, including Rs. 75 lakh allocated for the construction of three new gram panchayat offices in Bhadla, Kundani, and nearby villages. He added that with continuous development efforts, Jasdan-Vinchhiya region is emerging as a leading area in Rajkot district.
As per report, Bavaliya was felicitated with a shawl during the event. Mamlatdar I.G. Zala delivered the welcome speech outlining the program’s framework, while senior official Bhaveshbhai Vekaria expressed gratitude. The minister also interacted with officials from various departments and instructed them to ensure that no beneficiary faces difficulties in availing services during the program.
The Seva Setu program across Gujarat has now been integrated with the Beneficiary Verification Application, enabling Aadhaar-based authentication and a simplified e-KYC process. Recently, 681 Ganga Swaroopa women and 230 destitute elderly citizens in Jasdan taluka received financial assistance under government welfare schemes.
The event was attended by provincial officer R.R. Khambhar, taluka development officer P.G. Parmar, deputy mamlatdar H.V. Sambad, taluka health officer C.K. Ram, along with several other officials and staff members.
