In a social media post, Zelensky acknowledged India’s commitment to “peace and dialogue” and said that New Delhi’s contribution could play a vital role in achieving a dignified and lasting resolution to the war. He noted that each diplomatic step taken to strengthen dialogue not only improves security in Europe but also has wider implications for the Indo-Pacific region and beyond.

As per agency report, Prime Minister Modi on August 16 had wished the people of Ukraine a future filled with peace and progress, while also thanking Zelensky for his Independence Day greetings to India a day earlier.
