Rajkot – In a move to provide passengers with more comfortable transport services, Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is adding 100 new AC premium luxury buses to its fleet. Out of these, seven buses have been allotted to the Rajkot division.
The new services will be inaugurated on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Rajkot ST Bus Port. The ceremony will be attended by Member of Parliament Purushottambhai Rupala, MLAs Dr. Darshitaben Shah, Udaybhai Kangad, Rameshbhai Tilala, along with other dignitaries. The buses will be flagged off during the event.
Under the new routes, the Rajkot to Bhavnagar service will be priced at Rs. 304, covering stops at Sardhar, Atkot, Babra, Dhasa, Songadh, and Sihor. The Rajkot to Una route will cost Rs. 544, passing through Virpur, Junagadh, Keshod, Gadu, Veraval, Somnath, and Kodinar. Similarly, the Rajkot to Diu service will be available at Rs. 579, following the same route via Virpur, Junagadh, Keshod, Gadu, Veraval, Somnath, Kodinar, and Una.
According to GSRTC’s divisional director, return services will also be available on these routes, ensuring better connectivity and convenience for passengers. The corporation believes that these new buses will significantly enhance the travel experience, providing both luxury and efficiency to commuters across the state.
