Congress Celebrates Karnataka Assembly Election Victory in Ahmedabad
State President and Other Leaders Rejoice, Citing the People's Trust in Congress Manifesto
Ahmedabad, India - The Congress party celebrated its recent victory in the Karnataka assembly elections with much fanfare at the Congress office in Ahmedabad on Saturday. Party leaders, including State President Jagdish Thakor, congratulated one another, marking the occasion with dance and music.
The celebration featured a vibrant atmosphere with firecrackers and drums, while party workers shared sweets among themselves, symbolizing their joy at the electoral triumph. "We have gladly accepted the mandate given by the enlightened people of Karnataka," stated State President Jagdish Thakor, attributing the victory to the people's trust in the Congress and its senior leadership.
Thakor further acknowledged the faith people of Karnataka had put into the Congress manifesto. He said, "The people understood the issues at hand and voted considering the concerns of Karnataka." Thakor also pointed out that the Prime Minister had been unsuccessful in swaying the people of Karnataka.
Expressing his views on the election tactics, Thakor said, "Those who toppled the government and formed their own attempted to win the Karnataka elections by creating non-existent issues." However, the Congress party's work in states like Rajasthan was evident and appreciated by the public, he added.
Thakor also addressed the negativity aimed at the Congress party, stating, "Despite the attempts to undermine Congress, the party has proven its mettle wherever we formed the government." He drew attention to the widespread public sympathy following death threats to senior Congress leader, Kharge Ji, saying it had resonated with the people.
The Gujarat Congress state president ended on a strong note, contrasting the Congress party's ability to fulfill its promises with the BJP's election pledges. "While BJP promises to win elections, the Congress keeps its promise," Thakor asserted, citing the party's track record in states like Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
