PM Modi Highlights ‘Operation Sindoor’ Success, Inaugurates Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line

Bengaluru/New Delhi, August 10 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking publicly for the first time in Bengaluru after the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, said the mission showcased the new face of India to the world. He inaugurated the Yellow Line of the Bengaluru Metro and laid the foundation stone for its third phase, crediting the operation’s success to advanced technology and the strength of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, with significant contributions from the youth of Bengaluru and Karnataka.

The Prime Minister said the mission demonstrated India’s capability to destroy terrorist hideouts deep across the border, bring Pakistan – which came to the defence of terrorists – to its knees within hours, and project the strength of the Indian armed forces. He emphasised that ‘Operation Sindoor’ was a clear example of how indigenous technology and local expertise could empower national security efforts.

Calling Bengaluru a symbol of New India’s rise, Modi described it as a city whose spirit embodies wisdom and whose actions reflect technological knowledge. He praised its role in placing India firmly on the global IT map and credited its success story to the hard work and talent of its residents.

As per agency report, Modi underlined the importance of urban planning and infrastructure to prepare cities like Bengaluru for the future. The central government has launched projects worth thousands of crores in the city, with the Yellow Line inauguration and the third-phase foundation marking a new momentum in development.

Highlighting India’s economic progress, the Prime Minister noted that in the past 11 years, the country has moved from being the world’s 10th largest economy to the top five and is advancing rapidly toward becoming one of the top three. He said the journey of a developed India will align closely with the Digital India vision, with initiatives like the India AI Mission steering the nation toward global leadership in artificial intelligence.

Modi added that the Semiconductor Mission is also gaining pace, with India set to produce its own chips soon. He further said the country has become a global example of “low-cost, high-technology” space missions, reinforcing its position on the world stage.
