Operation Sindoor Showcased India's Military Might to the World: PM Modi

New Delhi, July 21 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that Operation Sindoor has demonstrated India’s military prowess to the entire world, marking a significant milestone in the nation's defense capabilities. Addressing the media ahead of the Monsoon Session in the Parliament complex, the Prime Minister declared the session as a "Vijayotsav" or celebration of victory, citing the remarkable achievements of the Indian armed forces during the operation.

Highlighting the swift and decisive nature of the mission, Prime Minister Modi stated that the Indian military achieved its target with absolute precision, completing the objective of Operation Sindoor within just 22 minutes. He described the strike as a powerful response against the masterminds of terrorism and a clear message delivered at their very doorstep. He also stressed that the operation showcased a new dimension of India’s “Made in India” defense capabilities, which has garnered global attention.

Referring to the recent brutal killing in Pahalgam, the Prime Minister said the incident shocked the world and brought the focus onto terrorism and its sponsors. He acknowledged the collective efforts of Indian political leaders who set aside political differences to travel across the globe and expose Pakistan’s role in terrorism. Modi praised the members of Parliament and various political parties who participated in this international outreach campaign, stating that it created a positive atmosphere in the country.

As per agency report, the Prime Minister also touched upon the broader symbolism of the Monsoon Session, describing it as a period of innovation and regeneration. He noted that the monsoon season across India has progressed well, bringing beneficial weather for agriculture. This, he said, has resulted in water reservoirs being filled to nearly three times their usual levels, which will provide a significant boost to the country’s economy in the coming months.

Prime Minister Modi also highlighted a historic achievement for India: for the first time, the national flag was unfurled at the International Space Station. Calling it a proud moment for every Indian, he said that this development marks a new chapter in India’s journey in space science and innovation. He expressed confidence that this success would be celebrated in both Houses of Parliament and inspire future space endeavors.

Addressing the issue of internal security, Modi remarked that India has long endured violent challenges, from terrorism to Naxalism, since independence. However, he pointed out that the reach of Naxalism is rapidly shrinking, thanks to the increasing effectiveness and confidence of India’s security forces. He proudly stated that hundreds of districts that were once under Naxal influence are now breathing freely.

The Prime Minister concluded by expressing pride that the Indian Constitution is triumphing over violence and weapons, and the transformation of previously volatile red corridors into green zones is a testament to the country's progress toward peace and prosperity.
