Weave Knitt Exhibition 2025 to Showcase Textile Innovation from July 18 in Surat
Surat, July 17 — The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and the Southern Gujarat Chamber Trade and Industries Development Centre are set to organize the fourth edition of the Weave Knitt Exhibition from July 18 to 20 at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC), Sarsana. The event aims to provide a dynamic B2B platform for weavers, technical textile manufacturers, and garment producers to connect directly with genuine buyers from across India’s major textile hubs.
Chamber President Nikhil Madrasi stated that Weave Knitt 2025 will be held on a larger scale this year, with 115 exhibitors from Surat, Navsari, Mumbai, and Tamil Nadu participating. The event will occupy a pillarless air-conditioned hall spanning 1.16 lakh square feet. As per agency report, the exhibition will highlight cutting-edge textile innovations, including water-resistant, antimicrobial, and fire-retardant hospital curtains, blackout and whiteout draperies, microfiber bedsheets and bedspreads, digital printed fabrics, and ultrasonic blackout fabric.
In the garment fabric segment, attendees can expect to see 100% poly fabric blended with viscose felt, crystal linen, poly flex, and poly linen look fabrics. Additional attractions will include plain, twill, satin, double-jersey, net, top-dyed sarees, dyed viscose and nylon sarees, curtain and sofa fabrics, lungi fabrics, and a range of home décor products.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on July 18 at 10 a.m. in Seminar Hall-A at SIECC, with Swarup P., Commissioner of Industries, Government of Gujarat, as the chief guest, and Manmohan Singh, Group Executive President of Grasim Industries Limited, as the guest of honour.
SGCCI Vice President Ashok Jirawala noted that last year’s exhibition generated trade worth Rs. 400 crore within just six months, and expectations are higher this year, with trade projected to exceed Rs. 500 crore. The event will attract wholesalers, retailers, fashion designers, branded garment manufacturers, and major yard brokers from across the country.
Exhibition Chairman Kiran Thummar and Co-Chairman Nirav Mandalewala emphasized that Weave Knitt serves as a one-stop shop where producers can promote their brands, launch new products, network with industry players, and exchange insights on technological innovations. Buyers from key textile markets such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Jaipur, Pune, Indore, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Varanasi, and others are expected to attend.
Weave Knitt Exhibition 2025 is poised not only to be a commercial breakthrough for Surat’s textile sector but also a national platform for innovation, collaboration, and growth within the Indian textile industry.
