Raghuvir Scarlet Textile Market Sets a New Benchmark in Surat’s Textile Trade

Surat – A new chapter has been added to the textile trade of Surat city with the launch of the Raghuvir Scarlet Textile Market, which has quickly become the first choice of traders due to its world-class infrastructure, spacious layout, and well-organized commercial planning. Situated opposite Bharat Cancer Hospital and near DMD Market, the foundation stone of this grand establishment was laid in 2020, and it officially commenced operations in 2024.

Spanning an impressive 2 million square feet, the market houses 800 shops and has been developed and managed by the Raghuvir Group. Special provisions have been made for wholesale trade in garments, kurtis, sarees, dupattas, knitted fabrics, curtains, and men’s suiting materials, attracting attention not just from across India but also from international buyers.

Market builder and director Chandubhai Korat shared that this is India's first Scarlet Textile Market fully equipped with modern amenities. Each shop is fitted with a private lift to ensure smooth loading and unloading operations. Additional facilities include a hotel and club system, a healthcare center, fashion-related wrap box services, a food court, a café area, and a business lodge.

To ensure safety and convenience, separate entryways have been designated for traders and laborers. Mock drills are conducted every 15 days to maintain emergency preparedness. Fire safety equipment, CCTV surveillance, and on-ground security personnel have also been strategically deployed for comprehensive market security.

The market is located at the intersection of two wide roads, 150 and 80 feet in width. Its design takes monsoon conditions into account, ensuring that even with up to 10 inches of rainfall accumulation, business operations remain unaffected. With open space on all sides, the structure is future-ready and has ample room for expansion.

Sanjay Siraya, who has been in the men’s suiting business for 15 years and now runs Ashoka Textile within the market, expanded his business to this location in 2023. His trade network spans Kolkata, Maharashtra, and Delhi.
