Speeding Car Kills Woman Constable, Injures Two Policemen in Patna

Patna, June 12 – A tragic accident took place late Wednesday night near the Shri Krishna Puri area in Patna, where a speeding car rammed into a group of police personnel conducting vehicle checks, resulting in the death of a woman constable and injuries to two other officers.

As per agency report, the deceased has been identified as Komal, aged 22, who was on duty at the time of the incident. The injured officers include Sub-Inspector Deepak Kumar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Awadhesh Kumar. The accident occurred on Atal Path during a routine night check.

Patna’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Avkash Kumar stated that the three personnel, posted at the Shri Krishna Puri police station, were checking vehicles on Atal Path when a high-speed vehicle struck them from behind. The impact was severe, leaving all three injured on the spot.

All the injured officers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where the woman constable succumbed to her injuries. The condition of the other two policemen is reported to be stable, and they are currently undergoing treatment.

Following the incident, the police have arrested two individuals who were inside the car responsible for the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether any further legal action is warranted.
