Surat: From Activa Cart to Popular Corner Shop, 'Jai Bhavani Paan' Becomes a Symbol of Hard Work and Self-Reliance
Surat, Pipload – What began as a modest business run from the back of a scooter at Kargil Chowk near Lekyu Garden in Pipload village has today transformed into a well-recognized local establishment known as "Jai Bhavani Paan." This inspiring journey of entrepreneurial grit belongs to Mitesh Rajubhai Rajput and his father, originally from Mehsana district in Gujarat.
Mitesh recalls that it was in 2012 when his father started selling paan and basic food items using a simple Activa scooter. Gradually, with savings accumulated from their daily earnings, they moved on to set up a small kiosk, which over the years grew into a permanent shop thanks to their relentless dedication and discipline.
Having studied only up to the 10th grade, Mitesh admitted that he was never inclined toward academics. However, witnessing his father’s struggle and determination instilled in him a sense of responsibility. Choosing to leave school, he joined his father in running the shop. Their shared efforts have paid off, with Mitesh now managing the business full-time while his father continues to work as a driver.
Mitesh emphasized that the journey to building the shop was slow and steady. Each day, they set aside a small portion of their income to invest back into their business. What stands today is not just a paan shop but a monument to perseverance, sacrifice, and belief in one’s efforts.
Sharing a message for the youth, Mitesh stated that no job is too small or insignificant. He urged people not to waste years chasing jobs when even a small-scale venture can lead to self-sufficiency. According to him, hard work, honesty, and punctuality are the real keys to success.
Despite challenges posed by harsh weather and financial constraints, the father-son duo never gave up. Today, "Jai Bhavani Paan" is more than just a business; it is a living example of struggle transformed into success and a beacon of self-reliance for aspiring entrepreneurs.
