Rajkot to Get Mini Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre to Boost Trade and Industry in Saurashtra

Rajkot, June 8 – In a move aimed at accelerating the growth of trade and industry in the Saurashtra region, preparations have begun for the construction of a Mini Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Rajkot. The initiative follows a recent visit by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who emphasized the need for such a facility during his tour. Responding promptly, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation convened a meeting with trade organizations on Saturday to begin drafting the project blueprint.

As per agency report, the new convention centre will be modeled after the Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar and is expected to feature seminar halls, exhibition spaces, and a range of modern amenities. The primary objective is to provide a state-of-the-art platform under one roof for business professionals and industrialists across Saurashtra to host trade exhibitions, conferences, and business meetings.

The state government has also expressed its commitment to providing financial support for the project. Municipal officials confirmed that the project is being designed with a focus on the region’s comprehensive industrial development.

Once completed, the convention centre is expected to position Rajkot as a leading hub for organized business activities. It will offer local enterprises a valuable opportunity to showcase their products and services at both national and international levels. The initiative has generated significant enthusiasm within the business community, with expectations high that it will further strengthen the region’s economic landscape.
