Surat : Assam Minister Visits Family of Terror Attack Victim, Offers Financial Assistance

Surat: Assam Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika visited the family of late Shaileshbhai Kalathiya, a resident of Mota Varachha in Surat, who lost his life in a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Representing the Assam government, Minister Hazarika handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh as financial assistance to the bereaved family.

Hazarika expressed deep sorrow over the death of 26 innocent people in the Pahalgam attack and stated that the entire nation shares the grief of this tragic incident. He noted that the Assam government has taken a compassionate initiative to provide financial aid to each of the affected families during this painful time.

The minister emphasized that every family who lost a loved one in the attack is being visited personally, and each is being given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh. During his visit, he offered condolences to the Kalathiya family and assured them of all possible support from the Assam government.

Minister Hazarika also paid tribute to the memory of Shaileshbhai Kalathiya and expressed solidarity with the grieving family. Local leaders, including city organization president Pareshbhai Patel and community leader Kalubhai Bhimnath, were present on the occasion.
