New Delhi, May 27 – Actor Ayushmann Khurrana has announced that his much-anticipated film 'Thama' will hit theatres this Diwali, marking what he describes as the biggest release of his career. The film, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, is directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, known for his work on the upcoming film 'Munjya'.

Produced under the banner of Maddock Films by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, 'Thama' is being positioned as a festive entertainer. Maddock Films has previously produced successful horror comedies like 'Stree', 'Bhediya', and 'Munjya'.

As per agency report, Khurrana expressed his excitement over the film's Diwali release, emphasizing the significance of the festival in his personal life. He shared that Diwali for him is about togetherness and spending time with family and friends, often involving a traditional trip to the cinema to watch a new film. Calling 'Thama' his career's biggest release, he said he is eager to spread joy and entertainment across the country through the film.

Known for choosing offbeat and content-driven films such as 'Badhaai Ho', 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', and 'Dream Girl', Khurrana’s association with 'Thama' adds to the anticipation.
