Jash Textile Market Emerges as a Premier Yarn and Fabric Hub from Surat to the Global Stage
Surat: Located near Sahara Darwaja on the Ring Road, the Jash Textile Market has established itself as one of the most prominent hubs for yarn and fabric trade in India. Since its founding in 1989, the market has grown to accommodate nearly 600 shops, serving not just domestic markets across Indian states but also extending its reach to international destinations.
The market is efficiently managed by a 20-member committee led by President Shantilal Dangi and Secretary Mahendra Singh Bhayal. The committee is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and well-regulated commercial environment for both merchants and customers. Other key committee members include Vice President Ashokbhai Jirawala, Rohit Sharma, and Radhe Roop Chandani.

Mahendra Singh Bhayal, director of Bhayal Silk Mills, has been active in the dyed fabric segment for 32 years. He primarily caters to markets in Rajasthan, supplying specially dyed fabrics for traditional ‘odhnis’. His business, based on agent networks and offline sales, offers products priced between Rs. 25 to Rs. 60 per metre.
Shantilal Dangi, the market president and director of Modern Polytax Ltd., has over 35 years of experience in the yarn industry. He is an authorized dealer of Reliance's synthetic yarn and supplies products both nationally and internationally. He also promotes sales through a network of sales representatives.

Devendra Gandhi, the director of Vaibhav Silk, specializes in dyed fabrics and uniform dupattas. His products are exported to markets in Dubai, Bahrain, and Neravy. He operates exclusively in the wholesale segment through both online and offline platforms, with product prices ranging from Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 per piece.
Jash Textile Market is also recognized as Surat’s first textile market to implement solar panels for its electricity needs. Additionally, it utilizes a rainwater harvesting system that collects water from rooftops, purifies it, and reuses it, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability. The market is equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire safety systems, and advanced sanitation facilities. It houses both owner-operated and rental businesses, contributing to a diverse and thriving trade ecosystem.

Apart from yarn, the market offers a wide range of categories including dyes, chemicals, dyeing materials, readymade garments, and printed sarees, making it a comprehensive textile ecosystem. Jash Textile Market represents a successful blend of traditional experience and modern infrastructure, carving out a unique position not just in Surat or Gujarat but across India and global markets. It continues to strengthen its role as a backbone of the textile industry and is poised for even greater significance in the years ahead.
