Vadodara's New Makarpura Community Hall Opens for Public Use

Vadodara: The newly constructed Makarpura Community Hall, built by Vadodara Municipal Corporation at a cost of 2.14 crores, has officially opened for public use. The facility, spanning 5018 square meters, is now available for hosting Manglik and other events. The first marriage ceremony took place in the hall today.

Located near Pump House and adjacent to Homi Bhabha Primary School, the Makarpura Community Hall is the 20th such facility in Vadodara. For the time being, bookings will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis offline. After four months, from 8th May to 8th September, the hall will introduce a draw system for bookings, similar to other guesthouses in the area.

Administrative charges, deposits, rent, and GST will be collected for the use of the community hall, as determined by the Municipal Corporation. The Standing Committee has approved the purchase of gas fireplaces, new gas connections, lawn maintenance equipment, RO systems, and coolers for the new facility.

In addition to the Makarpura Community Hall, Vadodara Corporation is constructing another community hall in the Nizampura area, which will cost 2.48 crores. This hall will also be opened for public use upon completion.
