Prime Minister Modi Visits Adampur Air Force Station, Interacts with Personnel Involved in Recent Conflict
New Delhi, May 13 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Adampur Air Force Station in Punjab on Tuesday morning and met with Indian Air Force personnel who played a key role during the recent military confrontation with Pakistan. During his interaction, the Prime Minister conveyed the nation’s deep gratitude for the courage and commitment displayed by the armed forces.
As per agency report, the visit comes just days after India launched "Operation Sindoor" on the night of May 6–7 in retaliation to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Under the operation, Indian forces targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), marking one of the most significant cross-border operations in recent years.
Modi later shared a message on social media, describing the experience of meeting the air warriors as deeply meaningful and highlighting their fearlessness, resolve, and valor as exemplary. He reiterated that India would always remain indebted to its armed forces for their unwavering service to the nation.
This visit follows the announcement on May 10, when both India and Pakistan agreed to cease all military actions across land, air, and sea. However, India has clarified that the suspension of operations is conditional and future actions will depend on Pakistan’s conduct moving forward.
