IPL Match on May 11 Relocated from Dharamshala to Ahmedabad Due to Logistical Issues
New Delhi, May 8 – The upcoming Indian Premier League match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians, originally scheduled for May 11 in Dharamshala, will now be held in Ahmedabad due to logistical constraints. The change was confirmed by Anil Patel, Secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association.
As per agency report, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the decision after evaluating the logistical challenges, and the Gujarat Cricket Association agreed to host the match at short notice. The Mumbai Indians squad is set to arrive in Ahmedabad later this evening, while details of Punjab Kings' travel plans are expected to be finalized soon.
Meanwhile, Dharamshala is still scheduled to host the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on Thursday. However, the temporary closure of the Dharamshala airport following India’s recent missile strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under 'Operation Sindoor' has impacted travel and event planning in the region. The airport shutdown is a security measure implemented after the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
