An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) working in the traffic department of Ahmedabad turned into an angel and saved a minor student from committing suicide on a double-decker bridge in the CTM area of the city. This incident has occurred just a week after a girl had committed suicide by jumping off the same bridge.
Police are investigating the cause of the student's suicide attempt. The ASI, Pradeep Singh, had come to the rescue when the student was about to jump. The police reached the spot immediately and pacified the student, who was shouting to let them die, by explaining the importance of life.
It is believed that many such incidents occur on this bridge, leading to loss of life. The police have increased vigilance and awareness in the area. The timely intervention of the ASI has saved the life of the minor student, who was on the verge of losing hope.
