Rajkot, May 6 – Four people lost their lives and two others were seriously injured when an SUV crashed into a tree and overturned near Supedi village on a national highway in Gujarat's Rajkot district on Tuesday, police confirmed.
As per agency report, the accident occurred when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while it was en route to Upleta in Rajkot. The impact of the collision caused the SUV to overturn, resulting in the immediate deaths of four occupants.
According to a police official, the deceased have been identified as Kishor Hirani (64), Vallabh Rundhani (57), Aftab Pathan (19), and Mohammad Sumra. The two injured passengers were rushed to a hospital in Junagadh, where they remain in critical condition.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash and have urged drivers to exercise caution, especially on high-speed routes.
