Six Killed, Eight Injured in Three-Vehicle Collision in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha District
A tragic road accident in Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district claimed the lives of six people, including a young girl, and left eight others injured on Saturday. The incident occurred near Hingatia village along a state highway when a jeep collided with a bus, as per agency report.
Inspector Umat of Kheroj Police Station confirmed that the initial collision between the jeep and the bus was followed by a motorcycle crashing into the damaged jeep. The motorcycle was reportedly carrying three individuals at the time of the accident.
The police stated that most of the deceased were passengers in the jeep, which sustained severe damage in the crash. The bus involved was traveling from Ambaji in Banaskantha district towards Vadodara, while the jeep was moving in the opposite direction.
All injured persons were rushed to the district headquarters hospital in Himatnagar for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the majority of the victims hailed from Sabarkantha district. The accident has brought renewed focus on highway safety and the need for improved traffic regulation on state roads.
