India Achieves Major Milestone in Fire Safety with IFSPL’s International Accreditation

India’s fire safety sector has achieved a significant breakthrough as Vadodara-based Indus Fire Safety Private Limited (IFSPL) has received official accreditation from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). With this recognition, IFSPL has become the first and only organization in India authorized to certify fire service personnel in accordance with global standards.

As per agency report, this accreditation empowers IFSPL to evaluate and certify firefighters across various categories based on the internationally respected standards of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). These benchmarks are widely regarded as the gold standard for fire safety and emergency response training around the world.

Balu Nair, Chairman and Managing Director of IFSPL, expressed pride over this accomplishment and highlighted its significance for India’s firefighting community. Until now, Indian fire professionals seeking IFSAC certification had to travel abroad, incurring substantial costs and logistical challenges. With IFSPL now offering this certification domestically, Indian firefighters can access globally recognized credentials more affordably and conveniently.

The certifications issued by IFSPL will not merely be formal documents but will signify that the certified individuals possess the technical expertise, operational skills, and safety knowledge required at an international level. This development is expected to strengthen India’s national fire safety framework and open new doors for Indian firefighters in global employment markets.

Moreover, this achievement is seen as a transformative step in enhancing training and employment opportunities in the country’s fire safety sector. IFSPL’s accreditation could serve as a milestone in promoting self-reliance and global competitiveness in India’s emergency response capabilities.
