Pahalgam Terror Attack Captured in Ahmedabad Tourist’s Zip Line Ride Video
Ahmedabad, April 29 – A chilling video has surfaced on social media showing the moment of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, captured unintentionally by an Ahmedabad tourist while enjoying a zip line ride. The video shows people running and falling in panic as terrorists opened fire on civilians.
The zip line ride involves moving downhill between two points using a suspended cable, driven by gravity. On April 22, a terrorist attack at Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam claimed the lives of 26 people, most of them tourists.
Tourist Rishi Bhatt, who recorded the 53-second video using a selfie stick during his ride, can be seen enjoying the experience just as chaos erupts on the ground below. Speaking to reporters, Bhatt, a resident of Ahmedabad and an event management professional, recounted that he had gone to Baisaran Valley with his wife and child and decided to try the zip line adventure.
As per agency report, Bhatt said that just after his son and wife had safely completed their ride and he began his descent, he heard the first gunshot. Upon reaching the ground, he witnessed the horrifying scene of people being asked their religion and then shot.

Bhatt described how he quickly detached himself from the zip line and fled, taking refuge with his family and three to four others at a hidden spot. After around eight to ten minutes, as the intensity of gunfire lessened, they managed to escape safely.
He further reported that two terrorists stood openly on the ground questioning people about their religion before shooting them, while others fired from the bushes. Although two attackers were visible, it was unclear how many were concealed in the foliage, suggesting a group of four to five terrorists.
Bhatt also shared a disturbing detail: just before he began his ride, the zip line operator chanted "Allahu Akbar" three times, moments before the shooting started. Reviewing the video later, Bhatt realized the sequence of events coinciding with the chant.
He noted that the area lacked a visible Indian Army presence at the time and was under local police security. However, within 20 minutes of the attack, the Army arrived and secured all tourists, escorting them safely to the parking area.
Bhatt expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take strong action against the terrorists within the next 15 to 20 days, underlining the severity of the incident and the urgent need for decisive measures.
