Salman Khan Cancels UK Tour Following Pahalgam Terror Attack
New Delhi, April 28 – Bollywood actor Salman Khan announced on Monday that he has postponed his upcoming tour to the United Kingdom in the wake of the recent "tragic" terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Salman was scheduled to perform in Manchester and London on May 4 and 5 as part of the "The Bollywood Big One" event alongside stars such as Madhuri Dixit Nene, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul.
As per agency report, in a statement shared on Instagram, the "Tiger 3" actor said that he and his team decided it was appropriate to take a pause during this time of mourning. The statement mentioned that, considering the recent tragic events in Kashmir, Salman and his team made the difficult decision to request the event promoters to postpone "The Bollywood Big One" shows initially scheduled for Manchester and London.
The statement acknowledged the anticipation among fans for the performances and expressed sincere apologies for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. It also thanked fans for their understanding and support, assuring that new dates for the shows would be announced soon.
Salman Khan is among several film personalities who condemned last week's terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where 26 people, mostly tourists, lost their lives. Reflecting on the tragedy, Salman stated that Kashmir, often called the "paradise on earth," is turning into hell, with innocent lives being targeted. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, emphasizing that the killing of a single innocent person is akin to harming the entire universe.
