Pahalgam Attack: Security Agencies Release Sketches of Three Suspects

Srinagar, April 23 – Security agencies have released sketches of three individuals suspected to be involved in the recent terrorist attack near the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam in South Kashmir. The attack, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, claimed the lives of 26 people, most of whom were tourists.

As per agency report, the suspects have been identified as Asif Fauji, Suleman Shah, and Abu Talha. All three are believed to have operated under code names—Moosa, Yunus, and Asif—and were reportedly involved in previous terrorist activities in the Poonch region of Jammu and Kashmir.

The sketches, drawn in pencil, were prepared with the help of eyewitnesses who survived the brutal assault. According to officials, the visuals suggest that the attackers were young men with beards, a detail that could aid in their identification.

The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based proscribed terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack. Security forces continue to conduct extensive search and anti-terror operations across the region in response to the incident.
