Policies We Form Today Will Shape the Next 1,000 Years, Says PM Modi on Civil Services Day

New Delhi, April 21 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the policies and decisions being made by his government today will shape the course of the next 1,000 years. Speaking at a special event held in New Delhi on the occasion of Civil Services Day, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of inclusive development, ensuring that no village, family, or citizen is left behind in the nation’s progress.

As per agency report, Modi highlighted that India’s aspirational society—comprising youth, farmers, and women—is reaching unprecedented levels of ambition and vision. He noted that to meet these extraordinary expectations, equally exceptional speed and efficiency in governance are essential.

He stressed that the quality of governance is measured by the depth of reach of government schemes and their tangible impact at the grassroots level. Reflecting on the transformation over the last decade, the Prime Minister said that India has progressed from slow-paced reform to impactful change.

He also pointed out that India is now setting new standards in governance, transparency, and innovation. In the era of technology, governance is not just about managing systems but about expanding possibilities, he remarked.

Referring to the G20 Summit hosted by India in 2023, Modi said that the approach of public participation transformed the summit into a nationwide movement, and this inclusive model was appreciated globally. He asserted that India is no longer just participating on the world stage but is actively leading.

Addressing civil servants, the Prime Minister urged them to remain sensitive to the problems of the poor, to listen attentively to their concerns, and to treat their issues with respect and priority.
