Tejas Express to Run Between Rajkot and Mumbai from April 22 to May 29

Surat, April 19 – In a welcome development for passengers from the Saurashtra region, Indian Railways is launching the Tejas Express between Rajkot and Mumbai for the first time, starting April 22. As per agency report, the train will operate as a special service during the summer holiday rush and continue till May 29.

Bookings for the train began on Saturday, April 19. The Tejas Express will depart from Rajkot at 6:30 PM and arrive in Mumbai the next morning at 7:30 AM, completing the journey in approximately 13 hours. On its route to Mumbai, the train will stop at key stations including Wankaner, Surendranagar, Viramgam, Ahmedabad, Anand, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali, offering seamless connectivity to major urban centers.

The train will be fully air-conditioned and include First, Second, and Third AC classes. Fare will be determined through a dynamic pricing system, meaning ticket prices will vary based on demand.

This new service is expected to provide a faster and more comfortable travel option for Saurashtra passengers, especially during the crowded holiday season. The initiative is being seen as a significant move by Indian Railways to enhance regional connectivity and improve travel convenience for passengers across Gujarat and Maharashtra.
