Surat's Sant Shri Raghuvardas School, located in the Udhna-Pandesara region near Gwalak Bamroli Road in Devendra Nagar, has been serving the cause of education for the past 30 years. The institution, which offers classes from grade 1 to 12, primarily caters to students from economically weaker, orphaned, and underprivileged families, providing them with free education.
The school operates under the principles of Sant Kabir, focusing on humanity and equality, and does not practice any form of discrimination. The school is managed by Saint Guru Raghuvardas, who also oversees 168 other institutions across various states in India under the guidance of the Sant Kabir organization. These institutions aim to bring socially and economically disadvantaged children into the mainstream through quality education.
Currently, the school hosts 650 students and employs 25 qualified teachers who specialize in their respective subjects. In order to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder academic progress, the school provides special scholarships to students from junior to senior secondary levels.
Education at the institution is offered in Hindi, English, Gujarati, and Odia mediums, enabling children from multilingual backgrounds to access learning in a language they are comfortable with. The school also promotes extracurricular development by offering cultural education within its premises.
Saint Raghuvardas emphasized that retired teachers are given due respect and standard support by the institution so that they continue to lead a dignified life while sharing their wisdom with the younger generation.
Sadanand, the school’s manager, stated that all administrative functions are conducted under the direct supervision of the head of the institution. He also added that if any student faces academic challenges, dedicated support systems are provided to help them overcome difficulties. The school’s holistic approach aims not only at academic excellence but also at instilling cultural awareness and discipline in its students.
