Surat : Woman loses balance and falls in front of car driven by female doctor,
A woman riding an Activa scooter lost her balance and collided with an Audi car driven by a female doctor, resulting in the former's death on the spot. The accident occurred on the road leading from LP Savani Circle to Star Bazaar in Surat's Adajan area. The doctor also fainted and was admitted to the hospital following the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Ritaben Gohil, a 40-year-old nurse who was driving the Activa. The Audi was being driven by Dr. Neha Pansuriya, a fitness expert. Eyewitnesses at the scene reported that the balance of the scooter rider was affected by ongoing metro work in the area, causing her to fall in front of the Audi car.
The police have registered a case of accidental death and seized the Audi car. The doctor, who was driving the vehicle, has been admitted to the hospital and will be interrogated once she is medically stable. The police are conducting further investigations under sections 289, 337, 338 and 304 (A) of the Indian Penal Code.
The incident highlights the need for caution while driving on roads under construction and the importance of following traffic rules to prevent accidents. The police have appealed to the public to exercise caution and follow traffic rules to ensure road safety.
