Ola Electric Unveils Roadster X Series Motorbike, Launch Expected This Month
New Delhi, April 11, 2025 — Ola Electric Mobility has introduced its much-anticipated Roadster X motorcycle from its Krishnagiri-based Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu. The electric two-wheeler, which marks a new phase in the company’s EV journey, is expected to hit the market later this month.
According to the company, the Roadster X series represents a significant leap in its efforts to revolutionize the electric vehicle segment. Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, stated that the launch not only introduces a new product but also signifies the beginning of a new era in the EV industry. He emphasized that this new model is set to lead the next stage of the electric revolution.
The Roadster X comes equipped with a mid-drive motor that is designed to enhance both performance and safety. The vehicle also features a chain drive and an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU), underlining its engineering advancements.
The series is available in several battery configurations, offering varying price points to suit different user needs. The 2.5 kWh version is priced at Rs 84,999, the 3.5 kWh at Rs 94,999, and the 4.5 kWh at Rs 1,04,999. A higher-end variant, the Roadster X Plus with a 4.5 kWh battery, will cost Rs 1,14,999. The top-tier model, Roadster X Plus with a 9.1 kWh battery (featuring 4680 India-made cells), is priced at Rs 1,84,999.
As per agency report, the Roadster X Plus 9.1 kWh variant boasts an impressive range of up to 501 kilometers on a single charge, positioning it among the longest-range electric motorcycles available in the Indian market.
The new launch signals Ola Electric’s aggressive push into the performance EV segment and its intent to broaden accessibility and adoption of electric mobility across the country.
