Woman Dies by Suicide Along With Four Children in Gujarat's Jamnagar

Jamnagar, April 4 – A tragic incident occurred in Gujarat’s Jamnagar district where a 32-year-old woman allegedly took her own life by jumping into a well along with her four children. The incident took place in Sumra village of Dhrol taluka, as confirmed by local police authorities on Friday.

As per agency report, the bodies of the woman and three of her children were discovered floating in the well on Thursday, bringing the case to light. Police retrieved all five bodies from the well and sent them for postmortem examination.

Inspector H.R. Rathod of Dhrol Police Station stated that the deceased woman, identified as Bhanuben Toria, jumped into the well with her children – Ritvik (3), Anandi (4), Aju (8), and Ayush (10). The motive behind the extreme step is not yet known, and investigations are currently underway to determine the circumstances leading to the incident.

A case has been registered, and further inquiries are ongoing.
