Horse Shoeing Mishap in Rajkot Claims Life of Jodhpur Craftsman
Rajkot – A tragic accident occurred in Rajkot's Raiya village when Tej Singh Amansingh Ida, a 39-year-old expert farrier from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, lost his life while shoeing a horse. Known for his 22 years of experience in the craft, Tej Singh was frequently called to Gujarat for his specialized skills in horse hoof care.
The incident took place near the crematorium in Raiya village, at a stable owned by a local named Mahendrabhai. Tej Singh, accompanied by three relatives, was in the process of shoeing a mare when he mistakenly held its tail. Agitated by the unexpected move, the mare kicked him forcefully in the ribs.
He was rushed to the civil hospital in a critical condition, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. The post-mortem report confirmed that the cause of death was severe internal injury due to broken ribs.
Tej Singh, the eldest of four brothers, had been widowed and is survived by a son who lives in Rajasthan. Known for his skill and dedication to his work, his sudden demise has left his family and the local community in deep sorrow.
