Jignesh Patil Celebrates 38th Birthday with Acts of Service at Surat Civil Hospital

Surat – Jignesh Patil, President of Youth for Gujarat and Vice President of the Gujarat State Football Association, marked his 38th birthday by contributing to society through meaningful service initiatives. On the occasion, he donated a fetal medicine kit worth Rs 2 lakh to Surat Civil Hospital. This kit is expected to significantly aid in the early detection of potential health issues in pregnant women and their unborn children.

Additionally, Patil distributed school kits to 12 children suffering from hemophilia, baby care kits to 40 newborns, and gifted sarees to 111 sanitation workers.

Speaking at the event, Patil emphasized that serving the underprivileged is the truest way to celebrate a birthday. He stated that he chooses to spend his birthdays helping those who come to the civil hospital for treatment, particularly from poor and middle-class families, as he believes service to the needy is the highest form of worship.

Dr. Binodini Mahendrasingh Chauhan, a fetal medicine consultant at the hospital, explained that the donated kit would assist in identifying abnormalities related to the brain, intestines, chromosomes, and other physical structures in unborn babies. She noted that early diagnosis through this kit could prove to be a blessing for pregnant women by enabling timely treatment.

Iqbal Kadiwala, Vice President of the Gujarat Nursing Council, highlighted the importance of aligning personal celebrations with community service. He remarked that birthdays become truly meaningful when they are dedicated to helping those in need.

The event was attended by several dignitaries and healthcare professionals, including Medical Superintendent Dr. Dharitri Parmar, RMO of the New Civil Hospital Dr. Ketan Nayak, VNSGU Syndicate Member and TB Department head Dr. Parulben Vadgama, as well as representatives of the nursing association Nilesh Lathia, Vibhor Chugh, Jagdish Buha, Sanjay Parmar, and Bipin Mekwan. Many students and staff from various departments of the civil hospital were also present.
