Mumbai, April 1 – Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is reportedly set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming horror-comedy film Thaama, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by renowned filmmaker Dinesh Vijan. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role, where he will be seen portraying a vampire for the first time in his career.
As per agency report, Varun Dhawan’s cameo is expected to add a thrilling twist to the storyline, with his character—a werewolf—engaging in a dramatic face-off against Ayushmann’s vampire. A high-intensity action sequence between the two actors has already been shot in a major studio in Mumbai, promising an exciting and visually gripping moment in the film.
The production team is putting in extensive effort to make the action sequence a standout feature. Several international action experts and technicians have been brought on board to choreograph and design the scene, ensuring it matches global standards. The makers aim to craft an intense and cinematic battle that heightens the horror-comedy experience.
Alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna in a lead role. Veteran actors Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are also part of the ensemble cast, playing significant characters that contribute to the film’s unique narrative.
Thaama is currently in production and is scheduled for a grand release during the Diwali festival later this year.
