Gujarat Governor Urges MLAs to Promote Natural Farming in the State

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat has called on all the Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) in the state to encourage farmers in their constituencies to adopt natural farming. Speaking at the closing ceremony of a two-day parliamentary workshop, the Governor emphasized the benefits of natural farming in eliminating deadly diseases, promoting healthy food, protecting the environment and saving cows.

The Governor urged the MLAs to make Gujarat a model state for natural farming, as currently 3,25,000 farmers have already adopted the practice. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, also voiced his support for the Governor's initiative, and highlighted the importance of creating a friendly atmosphere in the house to enhance the dignity of the Gujarat Assembly House in the history of democracy and parliamentary system.

In addition, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Shri. Shankarbhai Chaudhary, announced plans to make the Legislative Assembly digital and paperless, providing every MLA with a tablet for functioning in the Digital Assembly. The modernization of the assembly library will also serve as a source of reference for legislators.

The two-day parliamentary workshop, organized in collaboration with the Lok Sabha Secretariat, aimed to provide MLAs with stress management and time management skills, as well as knowledge of the parliamentary work area and working system, to make their operations more sustainable. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi applauded the organization of the workshop, and encouraged the MLAs to work together for the development of Gujarat, and to realize the dream of a developed India.
