Delivery Executive Killed in Noida Bus Accident, Mob Violence Leaves Several Policemen Injured
Noida, March 27 – A delivery executive working for an online grocery company was killed early Thursday morning after being hit by a speeding bus in Noida, triggering violent protests by a mob. The incident occurred around 6:30 am near Sector-104 in the Sector-39 police station area, as per agency report.
According to senior police officials, the victim, identified as 27-year-old Praveen Kumar from Hathras district, was riding a scooter when a fast-moving bus struck him. He died on the spot.
As the police reached the location to recover the body and initiate post-mortem proceedings, an enraged crowd gathered at the scene and began pelting stones at the police personnel. In the ensuing violence, Salarpur outpost in-charge Abhishek Mishra and constable Sudhir sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital. Several other policemen also suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ram Badan Singh stated that the crowd was eventually dispersed using controlled force and the victim's body was sent for post-mortem. He confirmed that the situation has since been brought under control and is currently normal.
