"Mharo Mahan Rajasthan" Theme Marks Grand Gangaur Celebration by City Maheshwari Sabha in Surat
Surat, March 23: The City Maheshwari Sabha, under the aegis of the Surat District Maheshwari Sabha, organized a grand Gangaur festival celebration on Saturday, March 22. As part of the event, distinguished members of the Maheshwari community were also felicitated in a special honor ceremony.
According to media coordinators Sunil Maheshwari and Mahesh Poongliya, this year's celebration was themed "Mharo Mahan Rajasthan" and was held at the Maheshwari Seva Sadan with great traditional fervor and cultural grandeur. Women of the community, dressed in traditional Marwari attire, enthusiastically participated in the vibrant festivities, turning the venue into a reflection of the sacred land of Marwar.
City Maheshwari Sabha President Tulsiram Heda, Secretary Ramanuj Asawa, and their dedicated team worked tirelessly to make the event a memorable and historic one. The hall echoed with traditional songs, dances, and the essence of Rajasthani culture, creating a deeply nostalgic and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Addressing the gathering, Surat District Maheshwari Sabha Secretary Ateen Baheti highlighted the importance of such cultural events in preserving traditions and fostering unity and moral values within the community. The evening also featured the felicitation of several respected community members for their service and contributions.
The event was smoothly conducted under the compering of FOSTA Director Jagdish Kothari, ensuring the program maintained its festive and orderly flow throughout the evening.
