India Could Emerge as a Top Five Market for Maybach: Mercedes

Udaipur, March 18 – Mercedes-Maybach’s head, Daniel Lescow, expressed confidence that India has the potential to become one of the top five global markets for the brand, given the country’s growing demand for high-end luxury vehicles. As per agency report, Mercedes-Benz witnessed over 140 percent growth in Maybach sales in India last year, with total sales surpassing 500 units.

Expanding its luxury lineup in the country, Mercedes-Benz recently introduced the Maybach SL 680 Monogram series, priced at ₹4.2 crore (ex-showroom). The deliveries for this model are expected to commence early next year. Lescow highlighted that India's evolving luxury lifestyle and increasing preference for premium vehicles make it a key market for the brand’s future expansion.

Currently, China, the United States, and South Korea lead in global Maybach sales. However, Lescow emphasized that India's market is rapidly gaining traction, making it a strong contender for a top-five position worldwide. He noted that the reception of the Maybach brand among Indian consumers has been overwhelmingly positive, which is reflected in the robust sales figures.

Mercedes-Benz India offers a diverse range of Maybach models, including the S 680 Night Series, GLS 600 Night Series, EQS 680 Night Series, EQS SUV, and the locally assembled S 580 Limousine, further strengthening its presence in the Indian luxury automobile segment.
