Guwahati, March 18 – Indian cricketer Shefali Verma, known for her aggressive batting, showcased her bowling prowess by taking a hat-trick for Haryana in the Women's Under-23 One-Day Trophy pre-quarterfinal match against Karnataka. As per agency report, Shefali, who is currently out of the Indian national team, delivered a game-changing performance, dismissing Saloni P and Soumya Verma on the last two balls of the 44th over before claiming Namita D'Souza on the first ball of the 46th over. She finished with impressive bowling figures, conceding just 20 runs while taking three wickets.
Her exceptional performance played a crucial role in securing Haryana’s victory, ensuring their progression to the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, in the Women's Premier League, Shefali's franchise, Delhi Capitals, suffered their third consecutive final defeat.
