Jio Hotstar Sets New Viewership Record During ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Jio Hotstar has set a new benchmark in digital sports streaming by recording over 54 billion views during the recently concluded ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The platform also witnessed an unprecedented 110 billion minutes of total watch time, marking a significant milestone in India’s digital streaming landscape.
As per agency report, Jio Hotstar’s Digital CEO Kiran Mani shared on LinkedIn that the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 turned out to be a massive success, with a peak concurrent viewership of 61.2 million at one time. He highlighted how these figures underscore the scale, passion, and rapid growth of digital streaming in India.
The final match of the tournament, in which India triumphed over New Zealand to claim its third Champions Trophy title, was viewed 12.42 billion times on Jio Hotstar. This game also set a record with 61.2 million concurrent viewers, further solidifying Jio Hotstar’s dominance in live sports streaming.
This achievement surpasses the previous record of 59 million concurrent viewers, which was set by Disney Hotstar during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 final.
