Three Dead, One Injured in Major Fire at Residential Building in Rajkot
A massive fire broke out in a 12-story residential building in Rajkot on Friday morning, claiming the lives of three people and injuring one, as per agency report. The incident occurred in the 150-Foot Ring Road area, where approximately 40 residents were rescued from the building.
According to Assistant Police Commissioner B.J. Chaudhary, the fire started around 9:30 AM on the sixth floor of Atlantis Apartments due to a short circuit. The flames quickly spread, leading to the deaths of three individuals, while one injured person was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control by the afternoon.

Authorities identified two of the deceased as Kalpesh Leuva and Mayur Leuva, while the third victim's identity remains unknown. Among the victims, two were visitors to the building for work-related purposes.
Emergency response teams successfully rescued residents from the upper floors, with five individuals being safely evacuated using hydraulic cranes. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the damage and the circumstances leading to the fire.
