India Rejects Pakistan's ‘Baseless’ Allegations, Calls It a Hub of Terrorism
New Delhi, March 14 – India has firmly dismissed Pakistan’s recent accusations, labeling them as "baseless" and urging Islamabad to introspect rather than blaming others for its failures. The response came after Pakistan indirectly accused India of sponsoring terrorism following the deadly train attack in Balochistan.
As per agency report, Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan had claimed on Thursday that terrorists involved in the Balochistan train attack were in direct contact with Afghanistan-based militants. Without providing any concrete evidence, he further alleged that India was engaged in sponsoring terrorism against Pakistan.
Responding to media queries, Indian foreign ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal categorically rejected these claims, stating that the entire world is well aware of where the "global epicenter of terrorism" lies. He emphasized that Pakistan should stop pointing fingers and instead focus on addressing its internal challenges and failures.
Pakistan's accusations came a day after militants targeted a passenger train in Balochistan, killing several people. However, India asserted that such blame-shifting tactics were Islamabad’s attempt to divert attention from its own security lapses and internal instability.
This latest exchange of words adds to the long-standing tensions between the two neighbors, with India reiterating its stance that Pakistan remains a safe haven for terrorism and needs to take credible steps to dismantle terror networks operating from its soil.
