His contributions included 87 runs in the first ODI in Nagpur, 60 in the second in Cuttack, and a brilliant 112 in the third ODI in Ahmedabad. His 102-ball innings in Ahmedabad, featuring 14 fours and three sixes, earned him both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Series awards.
Gill continued his exceptional form in the Champions Trophy, scoring a century (101 runs) against Bangladesh in India’s opening match in Dubai. He followed this with a steady 46 against Pakistan, helping India secure comfortable victories in both encounters.
