PM Modi Emerges as an Exceptional Global Leader, Honored by 21 Countries: BJP
New Delhi, March 12 – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred with the highest civilian honors by 21 countries, reinforcing his status as an "exceptional global leader." The party highlighted this achievement following Modi’s recent honor from Mauritius, where he was awarded the nation's highest accolade, The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean.
As per agency report, BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, addressing media in the Parliament premises, emphasized that Modi's recognition by 21 nations—including Russia, France, the United States, and nine Muslim-majority countries—reflects India's growing influence under his leadership. He noted that Barbados was the latest country to bestow its highest civilian honor upon Modi.
Trivedi remarked that these recognitions go beyond economic, military, or diplomatic relations, symbolizing deep emotional and cultural connections between India and various nations. He stated that Modi's leadership has elevated India’s global stature, where many countries now view India as a trusted friend and strategic partner.
The BJP leader also recalled that Modi has received several other international awards, including the United Nations Champions of the Earth award in 2018 and the Seoul Peace Prize. He said that Modi’s leadership aligns with India’s long-standing philosophy of global fraternity, positioning the country as a beacon of hope and a driving force for global development.
The honor from Mauritius marks Modi as the first Indian leader to receive this prestigious award, recognizing his contribution to strengthening bilateral ties between India and Mauritius. In response, Modi expressed gratitude, stating that the award is not just a personal recognition but a tribute to the 1.4 billion people of India. He emphasized that the honor symbolizes the historical and cultural ties between the two nations, shaped by the hard work and resilience of the Indian diaspora in Mauritius.
