New Delhi, March 11 – Hindustan Zinc Limited, a subsidiary of the Vedanta Group, announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with Serentica Renewables to secure up to 530 megawatts of green electricity supply.
With this Power Delivery Agreement (PDA), Hindustan Zinc’s renewable energy capacity will increase from 450 megawatts to 530 megawatts. As a result, more than 70 percent of the company’s total power requirements will be met through renewable energy sources.
The company informed the stock exchange that this is the first-of-its-kind round-the-clock renewable energy PDA, ensuring a minimum uninterrupted supply of 315 megawatts every 15 minutes. This initiative aligns with Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.
