Real Money Gaming Industry Bodies Establish Code of Conduct with KYC and Spending Limits
New Delhi, March 10 – Leading industry associations representing online real money gaming companies have collectively signed a code of conduct aimed at promoting user safety and responsible gaming practices. The initiative, announced on Monday, includes key organizations such as the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF), the Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS), and the E-Gaming Federation (EGF).
As per agency report, the newly adopted Code of Ethics (CoE) mandates member companies to implement Know Your Customer (KYC) verification and set spending limits for users. This step aims to ensure greater accountability and transparency within the industry while fostering a safer gaming environment.
Several prominent gaming platforms, including Dream11, My11Circle, Khelo Fantasy Live, SG11 Fantasy, WinZO, Games 24x7, and Junglee Games, have committed to adhering to these guidelines. The CoE also outlines stricter advertising policies to prevent misleading promotions and reinforce responsible gaming measures.
The gaming industry’s move comes amid growing scrutiny over online gaming regulations in India. By implementing these safeguards, industry leaders hope to align with regulatory expectations and address concerns related to excessive gaming and financial risks associated with real money gaming platforms.
